Both Busch Gardens Tampa Bay & SeaWorld Orlando will host 12th Grade Grade Nite events in April 2021, allowing high school seniors to celebrate the culmination of what certainly has been a challenging school year.
The event will continue the enhanced health and safety measures taken by the parks since last summer, including requiring temperature checks, using appropriate face coverings at all times when not eating, drinking, or in a designated relaxation zone, and remaining physically distant from other parties while enjoying the park.
At Busch Gardens Tampa, the 12th Grade Grad Nite event will be held on Fridays April 16 & 23, 2021. The event will run each evening from 7 p.m. until midnight with early access beginning at 5 p.m.
At SeaWorld Orlando, the 12th Grade Grad Nite event will be held on Fridays April 23 & 30, 2021. The event will run each evening from 7 p.m. until midnight.
This will be the first time in five years that Busch Gardens has hosted a Grad Nite event. The park hosted both 12th and 8th-grade grad nite events for several years but stopped after 2016.
The Grad Nite event is open to all high school senior groups from the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands. Registration is required through a school; individual registration is not available. All guests must arrive via bus/van through the school; parent drop off/pick up at the park is not permitted.
The cost is $69.99 + tax per person, and includes a one meal voucher for an entree and drink at select restaurants during the event.
There is a myriad of rules for participants to follow, including a strict dress code that prohibits any hats or school identifying apparel. The rules are designed to keep all students and chaperones safe while enjoying the grad nite event. Additional security personnel and uniformed police officers will be at the park during the event.
Chaperones receive some special benefits as part of the event. One adult chaperone is free for each 10 student tickets purchased. Each chaperone also receives access to an exclusive lounge with free beverages and unlimited Quick Queue at participating attractions allowing front-of-the-line access all night long.
