A brand new show recently debuted for the summer season at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Push Play! showcases a non-stop musical journey featuring pop and rock songs from the last few decades. A talented cast of singers, dancers, and musicians brings to life this high energy performance inside the Dragon Fire Grill daily.
Push Play! is a seasonal show expected to run through Labor Day weekend, with the popular Rock A Doo Wop show returning after. Fans of Rock A Doo Wop will recognize many faces in the new show, as a number of the singers, dancers and musicians have returned for this performance.
The new show was in development for several months before its debut on June 22, 2018, and the stage has received some changes returning guests may notice. Along with physical changes of the set decoration, the same lighting designer who worked on Turn It Up! (the park’s award-winning ice skating show) also did the new lighting for Push Play!
Push Play! is definitely a fun, upbeat performance with more modern songs that fit in with the Summer Nights theme across the park. The talented cast is full of energy, and it shows in their singing and dancing which is nearly non-stop throughout the show. Having a live band also takes the show up a notch, as each musician puts their own touch on each performance with a bit of flare.
If You Go…
Push Play! is performed several times daily in Dragon Fire Grill, located in Pantopia at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Check the park map when you visit for daily showtimes. The show is expected to run through Labor Day 2018.
Dragon Fire Grill features a variety of culinary options, allowing guests to enjoy a meal and take in a show. Just outside the entrance of Dragon Fire Grill, Donut Drop has recently opened featuring fresh-made mini-donuts and a variety of Starbucks products. Take a look at everything Donut Drop has to offer in our recent article.
