Celebrate America’s 250th Independence Day aboard Florida’s State Flagship at Freedom Fest, the American Victory Ship and Museum’s annual Fourth of July celebration on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
Beginning at 6 p.m., guests are invited aboard the historic SS American Victory for an evening of patriotic fun, family-friendly activities, and some of the best views in Tampa of the annual July 4 Boat Parade and waterfront fireworks display as the nation celebrates its 250th anniversary. The ship will remain docked throughout the event.

The July 4 Boat Parade is expected to arrive alongside the ship around 6:30 p.m., featuring vessels decorated in patriotic themes as they compete for prizes and bragging rights. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9 p.m., weather permitting.
Freedom Fest activities include live DJ entertainment, food trucks, a Kids Zone, All-American photo opportunities, and spectacular views of the evening’s festivities from the decks of the historic World War II vessel.
“As Florida’s newly designated State Flagship, we’re honored to help celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with our community,” said Bill Kuzmick, president of the American Victory Ship. “Freedom Fest combines history, patriotism, and family fun in a way that only the SS American Victory can.”

Group discounts are available for parties of 10 or more.
Freedom Fest runs from 6 p.m. until approximately 9:15 p.m., or 15 minutes after the conclusion of the fireworks display.
