The Straz will resume live, in-person Arts Legacy REMIX performances on the Riverwalk Stage beginning in February and continuing through May. Arts Legacy REMIX celebrates the many varied cultures and talented local artists who reside in the Tampa Bay area. Each performance focuses on a different theme.
Friday, Feb. 19: Arts Legacy REMIX: Lift Every Voice and Sing – Rescheduled to Friday, February 26
- In this powerful night of beautiful song, classical Black voices and chamber musicians will come together to stir the soul with music inspired by the Black national anthem – Lift Every Voice and Sing.
Friday, March 26: Arts Legacy REMIX: Bridges of Rhythm
- Latin rhythms will be captivating as local musicians perform to celebrate the vibrance of unique cultures from Central and South America, Spain and Portugal.
Friday, April 16: Arts Legacy REMIX: A Journey Through Central and Eastern Europe
- The rich cultural musical history and traditions of Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia Hungary, Switzerland, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Moldova will be honored during this melodic journey through Central and Eastern Europe.
Friday, May 21: Arts Legacy REMIX: Jazz, Jazz, Jazz
- At this performance, the focus will be on jazz, America’s greatest contribution to the musical landscape, with an emphasis on the big band sounds of Afro Latin Jazz. The Straz High School Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra will perform, as well as other acts.
All Arts Legacy REMIX performances will be held on Fridays, 7:30 to 9 p.m. on the Riverwalk Stage. Tickets are free and required in advance at www.strazcenter.org. There is a $3.90 processing fee.
