Delta Air Lines announced it will launch daily nonstop service between Tampa International Airport and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport beginning March 11, 2020, expanding Tampa International Airport’s connections to the West Coast.
“We’re excited to launch this easy, nonstop connection to welcome our friends from Seattle, and likewise, we expect it to be a popular route among our Tampa Bay residents looking to visit the Emerald City for vacation or business,” Tampa International Airport CEO Joe Lopano said. “Delta has been a wonderful airline partner for many years and delivers the same kind of excellent customer service we value highly at TPA.”
The Seattle-Tampa service is part of Delta’s overall growth strategy to expand service from Seattle to sun and ski destinations. The flight will operate on a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, featuring First Class, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin seating, as well as free entertainment on seatback screens or personal device through Delta Studio, Wi-Fi and power accessible from every seat.
“Tampa is another great addition to the more than 55 destinations we offer from Sea-Tac each year,” said Tony Gonchar, Delta’s Vice President – Seattle. “Customers can enjoy Delta’s amazing seat-back in-flight entertainment and still get to Tampa in time for a sunset dinner.”
Delta is TPA’s second airline to offer nonstop service to the Pacific Northwest after Alaska Airlines launched daily nonstop TPA-SEA flights in 2014.
Delta’s Seattle-Tampa service will operate on the following schedule:
Flight | Departure Time | Arrival Time |
SEA-TPA | 7:40 a.m. | 4:00 p.m. |
TPA-SEA | 4:45 p.m. | 8:15 p.m. |
