The Florida Aquarium invites guests to come and celebrate the ocean and everything it touches on World Oceans Day weekend! Although World Oceans Day is Friday, June 8, the celebration is all weekend long.
Explore different habitats and learn why they’re important to us and the ocean through special activities and programs. Find out what The Florida Aquarium is doing to help protect the ocean and the life in it, as well as easy ways you can help, too! Enjoy ocean-themed activities throughout the Aquarium and special presentations each day.
The world’s oceans cover about 70 percent of the Earth’s surface and are facing threats including pollution, habitat damage, overfishing, coral reef bleaching and species loss. The Florida Aquarium plays a critical role in research, education and action to address these threats.
