Tampa International Airport earlier this month debuted a new family-friendly amenity: dedicated nursing rooms for traveling mothers. On Sept. 8, TPA opened three new nursing rooms, including locations in the Main Terminal, Airside E, and Airside F. Additional mother’s nursing rooms are slated to open on Airside A and Airside C later this year.
“Creating a seamless, comfortable experience for all of our passengers has always been one of the cornerstones of our operation here at the Airport,” said Al Illustrato, Executive Vice President of Facilities at TPA. “And we’re excited to add yet another layer of that with this new amenity.”
The new nursing rooms offer private spaces for nursing mothers and include comfortable seating, outlets, changing tables, and sinks.
Though passenger traffic has slowed down, Tampa International Airport continues to add new amenities to make travel as simple, smooth, and touchless as possible. These amenities include the addition of water bottle filling stations, electronic gates, and Credential Authentication Technology software at TSA checkpoints.
