Florida Aquarium & Coppertail Brewing Announce Sand Tiger Stout

The Florida Aquarium and Coppertail Brewing Co. continue their collaboration with the release of Sand Tiger Stout. These Tampa Bay organizations have teamed up to create various beers over the past year with proceeds from The Florida Aquarium, and Coppertail Brewing Company’s new smooth nitro stout will help save endangered sand tiger sharks.

The beer is a limited-edition release and will be available on draft at Coppertail Brewing Co. while supplies last, beginning Friday, March 15, 2019. Sand Tiger Stout will be available at the Aquarium’s Fins Cantina starting Saturday, March 16. Coppertail Brewing is donating $1 from every pint sold to help fund the Aquarium’s mission including the education and awareness of the importance of sand tiger sharks in maintaining the health of our oceans and preserving this threatened species.

Join aquarium officials for a launch party at Coppertail Brewing Co. (2601 E 2nd Ave, Tampa, FL 33605) on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. Along with the release of the Sand Tiger Stout, there will also be animal encounters and more.

“We are proud to be partnering with Coppertail Brewing Co. for a third craft beer to bring awareness of the importance of sand tiger sharks in our blue planet,” said Roger Germann, President, and CEO of The Florida Aquarium. “This collaboration with our friends at Coppertail Brewing Co. is a unique opportunity and a great way to bring awareness to this animal and to inspire others to help.”

“We are excited to once again partner with The Florida Aquarium to create a unique beer while highlighting the important work being done by the Aquarium,” said Kent Bailey, Coppertail Brewing Co., president. “We’ll serve a great beer while bringing awareness to The Florida Aquarium and their research and conservation efforts.”
