Victorian Christmas Stroll Returns to Plant Museum

Tampa’s favorite holiday tradition returns with the 41st Annual Victorian Christmas Stroll! What started as a small, three-evening event has grown over the past four decades into a fantastic extravagance throughout the holiday season. Allowing visitors a glimpse into the magic of Christmas past, this holiday experience is a safe and family-friendly way to celebrate all the season has to offer.

With a variety of delightful themes and displays in each exhibit room, the 41st Annual Victorian Christmas Stroll is sure to create lasting memories. Look closely in exhibit cases and you will find snow babies and tiny antique trees. Don’t miss a display of vintage Santas and nutcrackers. View authentic, antique goose-feather trees and vintage fashions. Decorations include visitor favorites from years past as well as new marvels that are sure to amaze and enthrall.

Tickets to the Victorian Christmas Stroll are available now at plantmuseum.com. Visitors can enjoy an early and less crowded view of decorations between November 19 – 30 (closed Mondays and Thanksgiving). The full Victorian Christmas Stroll experience will be available December 1 – December 23 from 10 am – 8 pm daily.




The Museum will host a number of special events and performances during the Victorian Christmas Stroll. Included are:

  • November 26: Brandon Ballet performance, 2 pm
  • November 27: Museum Store Sunday
  • December 3: Museum Member Appreciation Day, local author signing on veranda
  • December 11: Children’s Day at the Stroll, 10 am – 5 pm
  • Sundays at 2 pm Upstairs/Downstairs Live Theater

The Victorian Christmas Stroll celebrates the warmth and spirit of an old-fashioned holiday while encouraging a sense of community. Complimentary cider and cookies will be served on the veranda December 1-23 while holiday music floats through the air. Guests can enjoy live music weekends in December. Enjoy shopping in a Victorian atmosphere in the Museum Store, a treasure trove of unique gifts, including elegant jewelry, artwork, and beautiful holiday accessories.

Proceeds from the Victorian Christmas Stroll fund museum restoration and preservation projects, as well as educational programming. The Victorian Christmas Stroll is generously underwritten by the Knox Family Foundation, the Henry B. Plant Museum Society, Specialized Property Services, and Raymond James, with media underwriting provided by WUSF.

The Henry Plant Museum interprets the Tampa Bay Hotel and the experiences of the diverse individuals who contributed to its success. The Museum ignites thought and transports visitors to another era through exhibits and innovative programs, so that they may be educated and inspired by the lifestyles, times, and experiences of Florida’s early tourist industry. Admission during the Victorian Christmas Stroll is $18 for Adults, $16 for Seniors, and $12 for Youth (4-18). Discount days ($2 off admission) are November 22, 29, and December 5, 6, 12, and 13.
