Central Florida Zoo to Close Nov. 9-11

The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens will be closed Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, Nov. 9 through 11, due to Subtropical Storm Nicole.

The Zoo started to prepare its property on Monday and will be closed on Wednesday for final preparations prior to the arrival of Nicole. The Zoo will be closed Thursday for the storm and Friday for post-storm clean-up, looking toward a Saturday reopening. After Nicole passes, the Zoo will assess any damages and determine if a longer closing will be necessary. The Zoo’s top priority is always its animal residents, and every effort will be taken to ensure they are safe and cared for ahead of, throughout, and following the storm.
