SeaGrapes Wine and Food at Florida Aquarium

Blue Planet lovers, philanthropists, movers, and shakers will be equally enchanted by the finned, furred, and whiskered guests of honor at SeaGrapes Wine and Food on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 8-11 p.m. The 18th annual signature fundraising event, presented by Amalie Motor Oil, supports The Florida Aquarium’s vital research, conservation and education efforts in Tampa Bay and beyond.

What makes this annual event unique is the incredible direct action programs it supports. You can feel good about contributing to ocean conservation, and education efforts, including The Florida Aquarium’s Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center in Apollo Beach. This 19,000-square-foot facility allows the Aquarium to magnify sea turtle rescue and recovery efforts. In addition, to this critical work, the Aquarium is making critical strides in Coral Arks (greenhouse nurseries) raising various species of coral to restore those affected by disease along the Florida Reef Tract.

“One of The Florida Aquarium’s goals is to be a leader for aquatic animal conservation and research, and our signature fundraiser event SeaGrapes helps us to obtain that goal,” said Roger Germann, President, and CEO. “It’s an exciting time to bring people together in support of our Blue Planet conservation efforts. SeaGrapes is going to be a great celebration of our ocean and our community of ocean supporters.”

SeaGrapes provides guests with an unforgettable evening featuring more than 100 types of wine, food from numerous premier restaurants, a full night of entertainment, including access to all the Aquarium’s vibrant exhibits that feature over 8,000+ animals and plants that call the Aquarium home, and a silent auction. Guests can bid on an impressive array of auction items that appeal to adventurers, arts and culture buffs, fashionistas, sports fans, luxury travelers, and gourmands. Complimentary valet parking is available at the Aquarium’s main entrance.
