Walk in the footsteps of our heroes and explore a WWII treasure this Memorial Day Weekend. On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, active duty military, veterans, and first responders receive free admission with ID aboard the American Victory Ship. The ship will also celebrate extended hours from 10 am – 5 pm on Monday May 25th.
“As we reflect on the significance of Memorial Day, we also honor the American Victory on the 75th anniversary of her launching and her participation in the war effort,” said Bill Kuzmick, President of the American Victory Ship. “It’s a privilege to open our hatches and welcome community heroes aboard on a day when we honor the servicemen and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.”
The ship provides plenty of social distancing space and has retooled its operations to ensure a safe and sanitary visit for each customer. At this time, group visits are limited to 8 people. Limited parking is available at the ship, and additional parking is available in the Florida Aquarium Parking Lot, the Channelside Parking Garage, or other surrounding surface lots.
