Nothing honors the living legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. like a celebration of his inspiring words among many cultures, peoples, backgrounds and art forms. In partnership with the Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival, the Straz Center presents this vibrant, performance-centered event of music, dance and theater free to the public and welcoming of everyone. Hear traditional gospel choirs, Scottish bagpipes and more as Indian dancers and local contemporary dancers collaborate for a joyous, moving and liberating celebration of Dr. King’s poetic, prophetic vision for equity, harmony, mutual love and respect and solutions for a better world in the conflicts of today.
Arts Legacy REMIX: MLK Praise will take place on Friday, Jan. 11 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. This is a FREE event and takes place on the River Stage, located next to Maestro’s On The River and the Riverwalk at the Straz Center.
