Tampa International Airport Looking to Hire 300

Tampa International Airport and its tenants are looking to fill more than 300 available positions on May 4 at one of the Airport’s largest job fairs to date. Available positions include opportunities with the TPA’s shops, restaurants, rental car operators, the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority, and others.

On the concessions side, some employers are offering incentives, such as signing bonuses, and annual memberships to popular streaming services. Filling these positions is critical to expanding hours of service and dining options as passengers return to the skies in greater numbers. Tampa International Airport has averaged about 55,000 passengers per day since April – up from about 3,200 a day in April 2020.

The available positions feature a range of skills and management levels, primarily at the Airport’s shops and restaurants, including cooks, baristas, and bartenders to sales associates, supervisors, and shift managers. The Aviation Authority is looking to fill several maintenance, traffic, and dispatch positions.

“Whether you’re a barista or working behind the scenes, you are part of the TPA family and play a critical role in making this one of America’s favorite airports,” said John Tiliacos, TPA’s Executive Vice President of Operations and Customer Service. “Our passenger numbers are picking up dramatically and it’s important that we ramp up our staffing levels throughout the Airport to provide our guests with the level of customer service that they’ve come to expect at TPA. We’re excited to welcome you to our team and to the best airport in the country!”
