Honoring Veterans from Sea to Shining Sea

The Florida Aquarium is saluting America’s military service members, both active duty and veterans, for their dedication and courage. As a special thank you, on Sunday, November 10 and Veterans Day, sponsored by Calhoun International, all active-duty military, retired, prior service of the Armed Forces (includes Guards and Reserve) can receive two FREE general admission tickets to The Florida Aquarium. Additional guests (up to 4 people) can receive a 50% discount on a general admission ticket purchased at the Aquarium.

“We’re grateful to everyone who has served our country as well as the families who support them,” said Kari Goetz, Vice President of External Relations. “We wanted to take this opportunity to say “thank you” to America’s troops for their service and sacrifices.”

To receive this ticket promotion, active or retired military personnel must show a valid military ID at The Florida Aquarium ticket office. Tickets are not available for advance online purchase.

While at the Aquarium, you can interact with moon jellies, stingrays, bamboo sharks, sea stars and lots of other encounters – designed to surprise, educate and delight. Afterward, you can bring the kids to cool off at our refreshing Splash Pad; watch the Aquarium premiere of Octonauts: Amazon Adventure 4D which is the latest 4D Experience to debut at the 4-D theater, and so much more.

After exploring all the exhibits inside, come aboard the 72-foot Wild Dolphin Cruise catamaran for a 75-minute excursion around Tampa Bay for a chance to see wild dolphins and seabirds in their natural habitat. (Reservations and an additional charge are required for the Wild Dolphin Cruise.)

The Florida Aquarium in Tampa is widely regarded as one of the best aquariums in the United States. This year, The Florida Aquarium placed second in the nation in USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
