World Record Attempt at LEGOLAND Florida

LEGOLAND Florida Resort recently partnered with Autism Speaks to host more than 15 children on the autism spectrum for a 30-minute swimming lesson inside the water park’s LEGO Wave Pool in an effort to help break a Guinness World Record.

The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson is an event designed to build awareness about the vital importance of teaching kids to swim and help prevent drowning. LEGOLAND Florida Resort is one of hundreds of facilities in more than 20 countries on five continents that particpated in the event over the course of 24 hours.

LEGOLAND Florida Resort is built for kids – kids of all abilities and interests – and offers a variety of resources for families visiting the vacation destination with a wide range of physical and cognitive disabilities, as well as food allergies and other dietary restrictions. To make the most of a visit and to answer questions pre-arrival, guests are encouraged to visit the Planning Your Visit > Special Situations section of our website at www.LEGOLAND.com/florida, where they’ll discover trip-planning information, including the comprehensive Guide for Guests with Disabilities.
