UPDATE: Due to possible impact of Hurricane Irma, Guy Harvey Weekend at Busch Gardens Tampa has been postponed to December 16 & 17. Guests who paid for a spot in the Painting on the Wild Side program will automatically be refunded.
Guy Harvey returns to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay this weekend, September 9 & 10, 2017. The renowned artist and conservationist will be available for autographs, host an exclusive presentation, and be part of a special painting event.
On both Saturday and Sunday, Harvey will be at Xcursions gift shop at different times, where he will be available for autographs and pictures with fans. On Saturday at 1 p.m. in the nearby Gwazi Pavilion, he will host Guy Harvey’s World of Sharks, a presentation on shark research, conservation, and more.
On Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. a special painting event, Painting on the Wild Side: Featuring Guy Harvey, led by artist Nik-Kia Thomas will be held (additional purchase required). In this 60-minute step-by-step painting session, guests will learn how to paint the vaquita, the smallest porpoise and the world’s most critically endangered marine mammal, while Guy Harvey explains the importance of them. Then, Guy Harvey hosts a social mixer, where guests will have an opportunity to meet and take photos with the renowned artist and conservationist. Participants’ paintings will be bagged and brought to package pick up where they can be retrieved upon exiting the park.
