Infinity Falls, the newest attraction at SeaWorld Orlando, officially opened earlier this month on October 4. The raft ride features a record setting 40 foot drop, roaring rapids and soaking fountains. Along with the attraction, a new eatery and exclusive pass member lounge are also now open.
Infinity Falls is located towards the back of the park, near Shamu Stadium and the currently under construction Sesame Street expansion. The bridge leading to the ride entrance and Waterway Grill offers a great vantage point of the 40 foot drop, where you can capture the faces of thrilled guests as they make the descent.
Nearby you’ll find the entrance to the ride, featuring a marquee complete with waterfall.
Guests enter one of two sides of the queue: to the left, the main line, and to the right, Quick Queue and disabled access. Keep an eye out in the queue for the official rules with the warnings about Infinity Falls.
While the disabled access goes straight to the station near the exit, the main line and Quick Queue cross over a bridge above the lift into the station. The Quick Queue line makes a right turn and heads directly to the station after this bridge; the main queue makes a short journey through a base camp before coming into the station. There is one short switchback, otherwise most of the queue is through the theming and lush landscaping.
You’ll find a variety of theming all around the ride and through the queues, mostly with a focus on water, of course.
The station features a moving conveyor, where most of the time you’ll enter the rafts as they are slowly moving through.
Around the ride, there are several vantage points to see guests enjoying the rapids and drops. Along with the bridge overlooking the main drop, look for spots in the queue and along the main path near the ride that are great photo spots.
On the main bridge leading into the ride area and Waterway Grill, you’ll also find the token machines and water blasters where you can further soak riders for a nominal fee. The blasters here are probably better described as misters, as they shoot a broad spray as opposed to directed jet like you might find in other parks.
After riding Infinity Falls, the exit ramp leads down to the photo station where you can purchase a picture of your ride if you choose. You’ll also find the lockers and drier stations here, both available for a fee. All of these features are located just next to the main entrance of Waterway Grill.
Inside and outside of Waterway Grill, you’ll find plenty of seating. The restaurant features counter service and a grab-and-go section, both with a variety of culinary options. The new annual pass member lounge is also located inside, which has complimentary Coca-Cola products available.
Along the main pathway near the ride, you’ll find the main gift shop, Whitewater Supply, and two interactive stations where you can play games and learn about water conservation.
A little further down the pathway towards Shamu Stadium, be sure to take a look at some of the equipment that moves the massive amount of water through the ride course.
