Spring in Tampa is known for great weather and long breaks from school but now guests at ZooTampa at Lowry Park can also enjoy delicious BBQ, innovative drinks and live music at the new event, Zoo & BBQ. Taking place daily from March 9th through the 24th, the event features tasty culinary delights along with craft beers, live bands, plus all of the fun adventures found every day at the Zoo. The event is included with general admission and memberships and features extended hours until 7 pm.
The best way to experience Zoo & BBQ and other ZooTampa added value events that take place throughout the year is with a membership or daily admission ticket. For a limited time, guests can pay for a day and visit the rest of 2019 free.
Event Highlights:
- Mouthwatering food: Families can taste way their way around the Zoo with tapas size helpings of mouth-watering BBQ favorites. Created by the Zoo’s own innovative culinary team, sizzling traditional dishes include delectable pulled pork, smoking ribs, kicking corn on the cob, plus new creations including grilled halibut tacos, jerk grilled eggplant and many more BBQ delights!
- Live Entertainment: From country to blue grass, a variety of bands and DJs will offer live music throughout the Zoo.
- Libations: The perfect companion to the grab and go BBQ options are an eclectic variety of alcohol flights.
- Extended hours: Enjoy an extra two hours of unforgettable animal interactions and adorable baby animals.
